Sugarbug
When thirty-something dad, Alex Novak, quits his job to find meaning in his work, he unwittingly destabilizes his marriage just as an alternative COVID pandemic worsens. As Alex struggles to keep his daughter fed and his sick wife breathing he discovers the sense of purpose he’s been missing. Yet even if he can find food and bring his wife back from the brink, it remains to be seen if their family can adjust to a world forever changed and an Alex whose new sense of self might just leave them all spinning apart.
Sugarbug is an 83,000 upmarket or bookclub novel about family and forgiving those who disappoint us. It is currently on submission with my agent Elisa Saphier of MacGregor & Luedeke.
